Sunset in Maeshowe and "flashing" observed 1 December 1998

The first day we had a beautiful sunset.  here the sun shine brightly down the passage.  Due to the very wet weather in November the passage floor is wet.	The sun first struck the back wall at about 14:35 GMT, and was extinguished about 14:55 as the sun slipped behind the Ward Hill of Hoy.
"Flashing" sun reappearing from behind Ward Hill	"Flashing" was observed inside Maeshowe as well but we didn't get any good photos - to see photos of the "flashing" on the back wall in Maeshowe go to the 11 January page 2
